Ok I'm 12 weeks pregnant and for the last few weeks I have been feeling very drained and it just seems to be getting worst.
It gets to the point that I feel like I'm going to just past out. It makes work seem imposable. I do sleep about 8-9 hours a night and when I wake I feel fine its around 12 that it seems to get worst.
What is happening??
Is there anything I can do to help it??

Oh and my doctor took me off my prenatal pills till my morning sickness goes away. Can that be a cause too??

Apparently, this is normal. I too am 12 weeks and just had my dr. appointment yesterday. I am exhausted ALL THE TIME! My doc says it's just hard work growing a baby. Luckily, I am a stay at home mom, so I can plop on the couch for a few minutes if needed. I feel for you because I worked through my last pregnancy and was tired then too. I hear exercising is helpful, but i'm too TIRED to do that!! (Duh) So, just hang in there for a few more weeks. The 2nd trimester should be easier and increase your energy.

It's normal. Welcome to being pregnant. Right now you need more than 8-9 hours. In my first trimester, I would get at least 9 or 10 a night, and then for my lunch break, I'd go out to my car and sleep another hour. I didn't cook. I didn't clean. I was just too tired by the time I got home to do anything but watch a little TV and then go to bed. Sorry girl. You just need to rest.

What's happening???!!! Your body is busy building another human!!! Seriously, you are in one of the prime times of pregnancy to be overwhelmingly tired. The first trimester is famous for this as is the last few weeks of pregnancy. Is is due to hormonal changes early on, and at the end just due to carrying a big load with you everywhere you go. The best remedy is to get the most rest you can. Maybe try to nap during your lunch hour?

You are growing a baby silly. That takes a lot out of your body. I am 30 weeks along with baby #4 and have found myself to need a nap everyday during this pregnancy. I also have found out I have gestational diabetes and that can make you more tired. Talk with your doctor about it but you sound normal. Perhaps try to get a nap in (if possible). Good luck

Ugh. You're pregnant. You are gonna be tired a lot. It doesn't help that you have to wake up to pee 3 or 4 times!! The tiredness lifted a good bit for me when the morning sickness ended -- about 14 weeks. It comes back, though. Good luck -- snore on while you can!!

Try sleeping more and eating smaller meals more often. It you get really dizzy to the point where you feel like you are going to pass out, see your doctor asap because you may have high blood pressure or a blood sugar issue. Good luck and have a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Its your first trimester. Usually in the first and thir you will feel this way. Your prenatal vitamin should help this also you should explain how fatigued you are feeling wih your ob they may o a iron test on you it sounds like you may be anemic.
