I apply to the State to receive payment to care for him. How do I search, or who do call? He is on medicare.

start with your county welfare department. They will know whats available at state level or call the social secuity office for medicare information.

Contact Social Security Administration in your city or closest one to where you live. They should be able to help you. Or possibly try Family Independance Agency - FIA. All of the numbers are listed in the blue govenment pages of the phone directory. Good luck and please - do take good care of him....

The state must have his information on file , you can also contact a local newspaper and bring his plight to the public!Good luck, hugs.

Contact your visiting nurse association and see if you can qualify to care for him. That way you will get paid for the hours that they approve for his care.
Or you can call the Senior Center and see if you can get the names of some private agencies.

I don't know if you can file for state payments to care for somebody else if they are not your dependent by law.
