true vista is a bit buggy still but it is expected to use a lot of your cpu. the thing is that the minimum riquirement is a p4 1.7 i belive and with that vista will run slugish so your chip is probably handaling it but it cant do much else. you could put more ram thats never a bad thing but ultamitly its that your chip is not the greates in the world. dont get me worng i dont by any means intend in insulting your chip but if you want the ussage to go down then get a beter chip.

more memory will help this. Vista is a HOG. I went back to XP on mine until they force me to get Vista.
CPU usage is processor usage. The total number of processing that are going on in your computer at any point in time. The higher the CPU usage, the more processes or a more "bulky" process is running. goto your task manager and sort by CPU usage and see what is hogging all of it.
If it doesn't seem like much, then memory is the cheap fix. (Video card too).

Vista minimum criteria are a million GHz 32-bit (x86) or sixty 4-bit (x64) processor and 512 MB of RAM. that's 1/2 a gig of ram. bear in options that those are minimum criteria and as a outcome, you'll witness vista run on the minimum required %. also, examine for spyware that could nicely be operating in the history. Google "advert-conscious" or "Spybot S & D" and procure this kind of. Run a test. also in case you're taking my above reported advice, please take this recommendation: Take an more beneficial 30-seconds and formulate your questions in perfect sentences. look at your question. It feels like it replaced into written both by ability of a infant or a chinese language conversing individual. you do not use capital letters, instead of sessions you've operating dots "..." and also you separate sentences by ability of creating use of the enter key, meaning a clean line. Why is this major? look on the solutions you received except mine. they're all written in a 2d and do not clean up your problem. (a minimum of at the same time as i began penning this.)

Vista uses alot of your CPU power, it's a power hungry OS, if your cpu usage is high you may need to upgrade the pc, faster processor, better graphics, more memory, etc.
