I know a girl who spelled it Kirsten... but I'm sure there are many variations.

The traditional spelling is K-i-r-s-t-e-n. You just have to prepare her for a lifetime of telling people the "i" is a long "e".

You could try Kiersten...that's an atypical spelling, but phonetically sound.

Kierstyn has a nicer look to it, but once again, this sets a kid up for having to correct people's spelling of her name for the rest of her life.

Maybe choose another name? :)

Kiersten or Kierstin... That's my cousin's name.
Don't go with "Kersten" or "Kirsten"... People pronounce it "Ker-stin" (the "err" sound instead of "Kyeer-stin".) The day my cousin got married, the priest pronounced her name "Ker-sten" instead of "Kyeer-sten". It was awful... and quite funny.
