I would definately recommend Bobbi Brown foundation, it is designed for the more mature woman, it is light but covering at the same time, and also, Bobbi brown is famous for bridal make up so has ranges designed for wedding (ie. getting a bit hot due to nerves etc).
You can telephone them up and if you tell them you would like some make up samples for your wedding then they will send you some in the post or invite you to an appointment to try some on you and see what is best. They are really good for weddings.
Good luck for your big day!

I recommend the No 7 Stay Perfect compact foundation with No 7 loose powder. It has good opaque coverage but it's not thick and doesn't sit in the creases.
Have you considered having your makeup done by a make-up artist? Might be worth it so you don't have to worry about it all day. That stuff doens't come off without a fight!!!

the best foundation both myself and my Mother use for special occasions is Boots No 7 Intellegent Colour Foundation - the stuff suits both of us (I'm 47 my Mum's 75) - it comes in three shades and adapts to the colour of your skin. The only problem is you have to put it on with your fingers because of that. If you go to Boots and explain maybe they'll let you try before you buy (as it's quite expensive at over £12 for 40ml but if it suits then I suppose not that expensive)

Use good eye lotion after you clean your face then apply a medium coverage liquid foundation a good one is by Clinique then sweep over your face with translucent powder to keep the shin dow. Re touch the powder as you go. The better moistuerized your face the better the result. Try a good oil free skin lotion on your face too.
