I'm just asking if it would be 'more helpful' , not trying to tell them how to run their religion .
At least if they had a Central Leader, then it would be made very clear as to what is and what is not really part of being a true Muslim . Assuming that the leader would not promote violence and killing of innocent people, wouldn't that ostracize the Radical Islamists and embolden more Muslims to come-out against the killing ???(now before any of you tell me that Muslims do come-out against the killing of innocent people, I clearly said, 'More Muslims' )

What do you think ?

I think it would help give the rest of the world a better opinion of Islam but it would not do anything to reduce the amount of terror caused by radicals.

Of course, the extremists would probably kill a moderate leader rather quickly, so then I guess there would really be no impact.
