Let's say it is now 9:00 pm and I want my computer to turn off by itself at 10:00 pm (one hour) later. How can I do this?

If you're using a Windows PC, then you want to set up a Scheduled Task. Check out your computer's help files on "scheduled task" and "windows task manager" and you should be able to figure out how to do what you want.

If you mean leave your computer for the night at 9:00 and not touch it again untill the next day.?, Your computer either has this feature (has always and has only shut off this way) or it doesn't. So if it hasn't or doesn't shut off by itself, sorry man but It will never.

Go to control panel> power options> and specify the settings..
