I like drive-in theaters, too, but there are so few of them anymore that it's hard to find one nearby.

If you've got a projector and an ample space there's really not much difference, ultimately. The days of an ample, full size movie theater are gone. Film - will always outclass digital. Films aren't shown to best advantage on these living room movie theaters these days. A standard size movie theater from the late seventies or eighties has it all over this other stuff today.

Even though Theatre's cost you up the butt... They are still WAY better than sitting at home!
Unless you have a huge plasma HDTV with the best surround sound available.
Then, and only then, might it be better to stay at home!
(There's a drive in theatre about 30 minutes away from where I live... Funny thing is that the town with the theatre is about 50 times smaller than the town I live in.)

Theatre. I like going out, I like getting popcorn, I like it when the lights go down, I like a big screen and a projector.
Watching it at home on my regular TV isn't the same, and I tend to get distracted by things I have to do or the phone ringing or whatever.

it depends on u.
if u want to watch movie with soooo good surround sound and big screen, sitting in a chair(just a cushion chair) with your girlfriend sitting beside u, u can go to theatres.
if u want to watch it with ur parents or ur relatives with lots of food and a couch u can buy the dvd

i would rather watch a dvd at home. Im alot more comfortable at home. I like it better.

I would rather watch a DVD at home because then I could enjoy it in my pj's ( if it were night time ) with a bunch of snacks and curled up on my couch with a TON of blankets and pillows.
