Those guys are great but Lorenzo Neal has lead blocked for a 1,000 yard rusher every year of his career so you have to throw him in the conversation...

Past: I'm going with Moose Johnston. He's probably the only blocking back in NFL history to have fans chant his name every game. Emmitt just wasnt the same after he hung it up. Sure the Cowboys had a dominant line, but Smith got a lot of yards running behind the "Moose"
Present: Lorenzo Neal - I was mad at the Saints a long time for cutting him loose (until they got Karney who's second on my fullback list) Every year he leads the way for 1000 yard rushers. In a dying position, he's the prototype

Johnston and Blier were great, no doubt...As well as Lorenzo Neal, but, its sad to say this...A fullback like Terrelle Smith COULD have ended up being great had the Browns not picked him up...Look at his years and who he blocked for prior to the Browns signing him...In New Orleans, he led Ricky Williams and Deuce Mcallister to thousand-yard seasons, as well as Reuben Droughns in Cleveland, BUT, the Browns did not use him like they should have...He should have been in on virtually every running play, and he has good hands for catching...His time in Cleveland was really a waste of his talent, because the year that Droughns had his 1200+ yards, Smith did not get a chance to help much due to LACK OF COACHING...Droughns earned his yards with his legs most of the time...I feel sorry for Terrelle Smith, personally...

Moose Johnston-the saddle of the Cowboys Championship ride, Howard Griffith-Denver was a power running team when he was in the back field, and Lorenzo Neal--the Rhino.

Lorenzo Neal. Tony Richardson should be up there, probably not the best, but he deserves a lot of credit for all the yards Priest Holmes put up as a Chief and for Larry Johnsons 1750 yard season 2 years ago.

I hate the darn freaking Cowboys and all its current or past football players...however I gotta admit Daryl Johnston has been the best at his position...i am a niner fan so it is hard for a NINER fan to admit Johnston was the best....

L. Neal. Moose had a super line blocking in front of him.
