Stretch marks are forever. They will probably fade in color with time, but they will always be there.

Prescription creams are also available for the treatment of stretch marks. These may be very successful on mild stretch marks and may improve the appearance of deeper stretch marks as well. Retin-A cream is commonly used to reduce the redness in new stretch marks and may help prevent prominent scarring. However, Retin-A can only be used on newer stretch marks that are still red or pink, typically less than one year old.
The most successful treatment of stretch marks is cosmetic laser surgery. Laser treatment is by far the most expensive method available, running well into the thousands of dollars when there is a large treatment area. However, laser surgery is also the best way to achieve results when trying to remove stretch marks. This method can be used on deeper and older stretch marks in addition to newer marks. Laser treatment removes, vaporizes, and breaks down the skin’s tissues. Successful laser surgery depends on the result of a series of treatments over several weeks. Usually between six and eight treatments are needed to see results. Although laser surgery is generally the most effective treatment for stretch marks, this method still may be ineffective for some people. It is important to decide if you can afford such surgery even if it does not provide the results you desire.
It is important to remember that damage to the deep fibers of the skin is difficult and sometimes impossible to repair. That is why it is best to always try to prevent stretch marks before they happen. You can do this by monitoring your weight gain and muscle building closely. A healthy diet rich in vitamins, minerals, and water will also aid in preventing stretch marks.

stretch marks are scars but instead of being raised or flat it is thinning of the skin. cocoa butter should help and also shea butter. if the apperance is getting worse it could be because they are changing and moving towards getting better. if you go to the tanning bed that will usually make the appearance of them worse because they don't tan so they will show up more. vitamin e oil can also help. don't use scar creams because they thin the skin which means it would definitely make the stretch marks much much worse. there are laser surgeries you can look into and treatment options if you have that kind of money. generally time and cocoa butter/vitamin e, etc will help the appearance.

Nothing prevents them and nothing (except laser surgery which is both painful and costly) will get rid of them. They will fade to a silvery color with time. Creams and lotions won't help. They will help with the itchiness, but that's it. Anyone with a "family secret" just has good genes. Stretch marks are genetically linked. I know its not quite the news you wanted to hear, but if you do any legitimate research you'll find that stretch mark creams are all a bunch of hooey. Best of luck.

Most of those creams gels and scrubs that claim to get rid of stretch marks do not work. At least I've never found one that works. The only thing I know thaty TRULY works is laser treatment. It can be done through either your gynecologist or a dermatologist. It is expensive but it REALLY works. My mom had 12 kids and she used it to get rid of her stretchmarks. It works like a charm!

You can buy palmers cream for stretch marks but that is only a preventative. It doesn't take them away. Stretch marks unfortunately are here to stay. They will slightly disapear and fade in color over time.
Stretch marks are cause from Gaining too much weight too quickly and/or losing too much weight too quickly.

Unfortunately they wont magically go away. Time will fade them somewhat, but they will always be there. I have them all over too. But I say stop wasting money on creams that claim to "reduce" stretch marks, they don't work.

Unfortunately, stretch marks only fade, they do not go away. It's the price we women pay for having children and gaining weight.

Strivectin SD is an excellent topical cream. It will cost you about $130 at GNC, but your body is worth it. It won't get rid of them completely, but it will help. There really isn't a way to completely get rid of them. You can try looking into some laser surgery treatments, but my understanding is that they only last for a certain length of time, and then you have to get more.
