1) Nowitzki - find me another 7 footer with his skill set and I'll change my mind
2) Allen Iverson - can shoot over you, run past you or through you
3) Lebron James - built like a power forward, shoots like a small forward and passes and ball handles like a point guard
4) Steve Nash - not only does he makes impossible shots, he makes them look easy
5) Shaq - Not what he used to be but still better than everyone else in the East

I gotta say Shaq, for the obvious reasons. Despite his age, the man is a menace in the post.
Dirk is a seven foot power forward who can shoot the three, drive, dish it out. Hell, he ran point guard at the all star game a few years ago. He's among the most complete players in the game today.
Kobe gets double and triple teamed on a regular basis. Teams change their strategies entirely when he's in the game, and he still manages to drop at least 30.
Steve Nash is lightning quick, can shoot from just about anywhere with some very solid consistency, and can pass straight through any defense you put on him. He can find the open man at any time, or weave through traffic and create something for himself, which, at 6'3" (I think) is amazing.
Yao Ming is a 7'6" Chinaman, who is getting better and better every single day. Give him the ball in the post, he'll put up his baby hook, do a drop step into the middle, finish with authority, whatever. He's a giant, his reach is higher than a lot of centers can jump. He is coming into his own, and now can drop 30+ a game if he wants, while pulling down offensive boards.
Shaq, Dirk, Kobe, Nash, Yao

Kobe Bryant
Steve Nash
Dwayne Wade
Ray Allen
Joe Johnson
6th man: Amare Stoudamire
(I picked Allen, because he can light you up like a Christmas Tree, and I've watched quite a few Hawks game - not by choice - and Johnson really has become freakin' hard to guard, and always guarded by one of the best defenders on the other team)

1. Melo ( the best offensive player in the NBA) 2. Dirk ( He has way too much advantage with his height & shooting ability) 3. Kevin Durant ( Scoring is his main component to his game) 4. Lebron James ( He's a super freak athlete. Especially during the 4th quarter) 5. Kobe ( He may be getting old but his offense is still there)

Nope, Kobe is above Wade and Iverson....he cant be guarded by one man, he is always double teamed (and the game he had 81 he was often triple teamed)

Iverson, Shaq, and Garnett would have made the top ten a couple of years ago, but not now, although they are definitely top ten with Wade and Carmelo.
