Someone said there're some half-price tickets for the opera shown on the day in Leicester Square.

I'm going to London on weekdays in late March (not on Tuesday) and I would like to watch an opera. I will arrive in London at about 15:30. Usually, any half-price tickets still available in Leicester Sq. after that time?

Many people queue up for half-price tickets in the early morning every day??

(I'd like to watch the Phantom of the Opera)

THX!!

Phantom of the Opera isn't "opera" it is a musical about opera. Not the same thing at all.
You can see what is on sale each day at http://www.officiallondontheatre.co.uk/tkts That will give you some idea if PotO tickets might be available.
If you want to see proper opera, you can't buy cheap tickets from the Leicester Square Booth.

The official half price ticket booth is called tkts; some of the others have hidden fees you'll want to avoid.

Or if you are a student with student ID, you can avoid the queue and go to Her Majesty's Theatre Haymarket an hour before the show starts and try to get a standby ticket - best available seats for half price or better.
