I was in line at Wendy's when this black lady and her child were calling me a honky and a cracker. She said white people were white trash and asians can't see and smell like fish and east indians are dot faced cheapos. Why would they such bad comments about other people. I never even did anything to them and they come on the attack. I gotta admit in anger I howled back at her but I shouldn't have done that. Do you think what I did was wrong?

Because most of them are just as if not more racist than the white race, which is portrayed as the only racist race. No. what you did was not wrong it was the right thing to do, there should be more people like you. Thats just one example of how black people act in public. And of course the blacks that answer this question will have an excuse for the behavior, look at Diamonds answer.

There are people like that in this world who don't give a dam about other people. It's good you defended your self to have peace of mind but all of us should try and stop this circle of hatred whatever race you are. unfortunately it has happened to me as well from a few black people but that doesn't mean all black people are like that. Those remarks you posted in your question are very very biased. I mean common white trash? dot faced cheapos? Asians can't see? Where is this lady getting this information from?

Well, somebody's liable to get pissed off at me for saying this, but, blacks are more racist than whites are. Sad thing is, nobody will call bullshit on 'em 'cause they're a "protected class." Nah, you're human, but, I'd've just probably given her a "go to hell look", shook my head, and gone on about my business. Then, if she'd started pitching a fit and calling me a honky, I'd've just laughed and commented about how low-class she was acting, and what a wonderful example she was setting for her offspring.

I agree with Diamond in the rough. I find it hard to believe someone would say all this while waiting in line. If you'd stopped at the honky part it would've been more believable but why would she then go on to insult other races?? I think you're trying to prove some sort of point and I can see through you.

it really opened my eyes

It happens among many ethnicities.
being on the receiving end of abuse leads to pre-emptive retaliation.

take it with a smile and help diffuse the anger rather than passing it on yet again.

One person. One isolated incident. Nothing to write to the Congressman about. She was obviously just a dumb bigot like any dumb bigot. Race unimportant.
