Everyday I see liberals scrutinizing Christians on here. When will you so called liberal Christians say you've had enough from the rest of the liberals?

Anthony, aren't Christians still Christians no matter what side of the aisle they stand on?

I'm a proud member of the Christian left! The left are believers that support a pro-active Government that helps people.
The Christian right is a bunch of hypocrites that says one thing....and does another! Too quick to criticize the left, while embracing "family values" candidates like Newt.

The liberals are preferable to Mark Foley, Haggard, and all the hate mongers on hate radio.......You guys criticize Barack Obama, but he has more integrity than any of the Republicans running. Guliani cannot keep it in his pants and neither can McCain........I , as a Christian, can happily support the Democratic party in this election

I've only seen posters scrutinizing hypocrits, not religious people. Big difference. Maybe you're watching too much Fox News - you're starting to twist the facts around like Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity.

You seem to be missing the point of the debate.
The liberals you mention aren't arguing against Christianity, as a concept or as a religion.
They are saying that NO religion -- not even one they believe in, not even one that is in the majority -- no religion can impose its religious doctrine as a matter of secular law.
That's one of the few thing about the liberal platform that I actually agree with -- nobody gets to enforce their beliefs on anyone else. And they believe that regardless of whether they personally agree with those beliefs or not.
The idea is that freedom for everyone to believe what they choose is more important than promoting any single belief.

I stand up all of the time. But I think you mean why don't we wear our religion like a badge and force it down everyone else's throat? Because I also believe in the constitution. And I have had too many 'christians' tell me that catholics are not christians. Since catholics were the first christians, how are you supposed to debate with that? You can't, and Don't need to. At least, i don't. Once, I had someone indirectly insult my religion, from the left. I said 'please don't insult my religion'. They apologized. Done.

We scrutinize the fundamentalists who want to rule this country from the church.
Most of us realize that our faith is, in fact, our own- a private covenant between each individual and their god. When I don't want to be bothered by your particular brand of Christianity, it isn't bigotry or an affront to your rights. If anything, it's a plea to keep your personal worship personal, as I do mine.

You have Christians in the Republican party, may I ask who you are referring to, surely your not referring to your President or Vice President. a person can lie, steal, kill and break all the 9 Commandents eveyday, the only they don't break is commiting adultry and for them that is one they can't break , RIGHT.. let me tell you something you can go to hell for lying the same as for stealing.
