I agree. They have a one strike law for drunk drivers, you would think they would have one for molesters. No second changes.Yea,no such thing as rehabilitation,it wouldn't matter if we cut their you know what's off,it would not stop them.I have checked and keep tabs on the molesters in my area, there are 3 and they are not allowed to do certain things inside the community, like parades, and other community events, and on Holidays, like Halloween, they were not allowed to have their lights on or their porches decorated. What about the kids that don't live in the city were you live?Who protects the kids in the country areas? Really if I had a choice to determine their fate it would be ultimately death!!!!PERIOD.

I don't think pedophiles deserve a 2nd chance to reoffend EVER. They can be locked away forever for all I care. Other sex offenders, perhaps 1 chance with the stipulation that they agree to a form of castration...chemical would be okay. If they don't reoffend in a "short" period of time (say 25-30 years) then they can go off the chemicals.

After an individual has done his time for a crime, it is over. You cannot incarcerate him again on the CHANCE he might commit it again. The key here is there are some who have benefitted from rehab. It would be nice to be able to lock up everyone that "normal" people think are bad influences, like those pesky homosexuals, but who is going to pay for all these people to live in the prisons?
Concentration camps where Pedophiles can support themselves might be a good idea, but then you have to lump in ALL pedophiles. Sex offenders too. And then you will have people who come from states like Oklahoma where public urination is a sex crime. Do you really think a woman who couldn't hold her water should be permanently barred from society?

PROTECT CHILDREN ! ! !
I am also very disappointed with this issue, but struggle with resolutions for this.
First there are sick-o's like John Mark Karr who admitted on the Dr. Oslow show that he likes little girls and goes to Asia for his fix. The Thailand govt handed this man to the USA on a silver platter and the USA govt let him go scott free. He then proceeded to insult us all by going on TV and making confessions. The FBI isn't even following him because they don't have enough money to do so. He can't be committed 'cause he's separated himself from his mother and former wives. Yet, the courts deem him as non-violent.
Should there be laws to commit those who are like him? Yes, I think so.
Should we give up hope on him? No, I have hope and mercy. Although I agree with you that until there is better research leading us to scientifically conclude he's not a danger to CHILDREN that he should be separated from ALL CHILDREN. I will accept the many men who are threatened by women, but I have NO TOLERANCE to those who HARM CHILDREN. I pray that more will stand up for the "Safety for Children"

Consistent dilegent monitoring of these offenders at all times. They have no "rights" as they've rendered these null and void. Technology must be enhanced at every opportunity to keep our children, our most vulnerable safe. As to repeat offenders who are doing heinous behaviors, not just didling under a rain coat, shoot them, publicly. Take a lesson from China, one of the few things of value we can learn from the Orient; the fact that they show little time and expense on incorrigible degenerates and that they have a very potent sense of work ethic and family. Otherwise just get ready to learn Cantonese.

Sex offenders is a bad thing, they should be away from everybody's life. Unfortunately they are human and they have the right to recover but "a pervert" is not an ill,it's more likely a sickness.

What I hate is when they cry that no one will give them a second chance. I think we should shoot them all. The lady who used to baby sit me used to molest me. Thankfully I have never wanted to mimic her behavior, but the effects stay for life. They damage people for life, so they have no right to live in peace themselves

Good point. I disagree with the laws on the subject too. I do not know why we aren't harder on them. Maybe our society is slow to address issues dealing with sex and sexual abuse. Maybe some of our lawmakers are men with guilty pleasures themselves, I really don't know.

I agree with you 100%. I think they should be locked up
for the rest of their natural life. Sex crimes are terrible
things for the victims to live with, that is if they are not killed.
