I have 2 Mimosa trees in my yard in N. California. Mine also bloom for about 1/12 to two months. However, this is a VERY messy tree!!! You need to plant it somewhere where you don't mind all the litter. Definitely NOT near a patio or pool!!

The BEST place to plant a Mimosa would be on a hillside below a deck or patio. Then you could see the beautiful blooms from the top and not see any of the litter underneath!!

In the NYC area they are in bloom no longer than 3 weeks at a time.
That's why you have to enjoy them when they do.

In our neck of the woods (N.Calif.) they bloom for 1 to 1 1/2 months. The warmer the weather, the shorter the bloom time.
