Hey i went through this about 3 months ago. I know that you are so anxious. After being on bed rest till 38 weeks and having someone tell you the baby might be coming and 6 weeks later still no baby. It is defiantly hard on you. One day i was so sick of being pregnant i got busy. I went everywhere. I got a chiropractic adjustment walked for about two hours (through malls and furniture stores). I got some minor acupuncture from my chiropractor. He told me if my body was ready to have the baby the acupuncture would work (didn't hurt a bit) before I left the office I was having contractions 4 minutes apart. After that we went to the hospital and had our beautiful baby boy. Hang in there it will come when it's ready. Until then walk around as much as possible. It helps the baby descend down.
Good Luck

Please consider you child's health. Although many babies are born at 39 weeks, you want to ensure that everything is fully developed before you go into labor. I know that parents become anxious, but it is no time to be selfish. A couple of weeks won't hurt, just be patient. You will have your hands full really soon. Relax and get some rest because in a short time you will wish that you had more time to yourself. Congrats!!

Licensed medical doctors sometimes prescribe a synthetic version of hormone that the body produces in higher levels during active labor.

try walking a lot and I mean a lot. have sex (unless your doctor said no) that is about it. but be sure to get rest while you can. good luck & congrats :)
*** I would advice you NOT to do Castor Oil! It made me sick and didn't work. Made the baby have a b.m. while still inside & had to be put on antibiotics when he came out. Don't do it!
