I had a UTI a week & half ago. My urine results came back to doctor that I had a pretty bad infection & they switched my drugs from Cepro to Augmentin. I feel a slight pressure on my right & sometimes left side. I tried making an appt. with a new gyno since I no longer have one & they cannot get me in until the 27th! What do you think it is? I am still on Augmentin for 3-4 more days? I took a preg test last week & it was negative but I don't know. I don't feel ill or anything it is just slight pressure now & then. =(

It's most likely the same UTI. The pressure you're feeling is the infection spreading into your kidneys because they're connected to your urinary tract and the antibiotics haven't been helping apparently. I'd get it looked at as soon as possible. Go to the emergency room if it gets worse because they can give you IV antibiotics. Also, taking cranberry pills can really help prevent them in the future and can relieve some of the pressure.

You can just see a family doctor for something like that. You need to be examined to make sure the infection has not traveled to your kidneys or bladder and also to rule out appendix problems. I would call my family doctor or go to a walk-in clinic.

Good luck
