Each has their weaknesses and their strengths, so why would I actually be swayed by their stupid commercials. I dislike both Windows and Macs.

Stick with Linux. All the Apple talk is just propaganda to get more customers. I need Windows for gaming myself...but whatever floats your boat!

The Mac commercials, while TECHNICALLY correct are also guilty of lying by omission. You are correct that both systems have their pros and cons. And they both have many many similarities that the commercials dont mention.
However, Mac is, and always has, targeted their consumer market at a different group than the PC market. The commercials are shown to convince the more artsy types that a Mac may be better for them. It is also an attempt to get novice users to choose Mac over a PC. The goal of this? If you can get users on your system, when it comes time for them to make a choice on another system, they will be much more likely to choose the same system type again.

i prefer my Mac & i just switched about 5-6 months ago.
it is different, but once i got past my natural aversion to change i found it quite refreshing, & now much easier. i feel its a much better operating system...& yes, it runs windows just fine.
i don't fit into either catagory of Mac hater-or- PC loather
i have tried both & i prefer one over the other; thats all.
thats just my 2 cents worth

No they suck! Windows is way better at their promotion, because they show their features, and show that there's life (such as the Vista 'Wow' factor commercial - I love that commercial).
Apple sucks, all they do is point out other people's flaws because they have nothing special or good to say about their own system.

I like the commercials.
until i start supporting apple. windows will continue to be my bread and butter, it puts the food on the table and pays the mortgage.

sounds like crap to me when i hear those Mac commericals.. windows are better..
