he didn't play because no team offered him a deal so he took some time off to get his head straight.

There must be some confusion. Sammy Sosa did not play last year (2006). He last played for the Baltimore Orioles in 2005 and did not do very well.

Sosa is attempting a comeback this year with the Texas Rangers; this is the team that he first signed with and broke into the big leagues with in 1989.

His comeback is working OK so far. He has at least one hit in every game he has played (as of 15 March) and was added to the Texas Rangers 40-man roster. He would not have been added unless the plan was for him to make the opening day 25-man roster.

that's no longer truly a shocker, yet there'll be no Sammy Sosa in Washington this season. that's because that's searching like there'll be no Sosa in the major leagues in any respect. The storied slugger looks putting up his bat and cleats for sturdy, in spite of the undeniable fact that he leaves the game below decrease than particular situations. Wednesday Sosa informed the Nationals he received't be accepting their one-year, $500,000 grant and later his agent Andy Katz shown that Sosa is likely finished with baseball. there is reason, in spite of the undeniable fact that, to have self assurance that the Slammin' One may go back. First, Katz admitted he and his customer are not putting Sosa on the retirement list. 2d, he's in undemanding words 12 dingers faraway from the hallowed six hundred club that includes in undemanding words Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds, and Willie Mays

Because Sammy wnated a break from the steroid rep and all the press etc so now he wants to make it look like he came back from a devastating season to a great one making him look great and ensure his place in the hof so he is doing this strictly for his rep

No team would offer him a major league contract. The best offer came from the Nationals when they offered him a $500,000 minor league contract. He is attempting a comeback with the Texas Rangers. He actually made the team if you can believe it.

The biggest reason was that no team would offer him a contract that he felt was fair. A couple of teams offered him a minor league contract for spring training but he refused. I heard that he did make the Rangers team today.

Because a big ego. Add that to a horrible 2005 season, and that is why. It was not because of HGH's. They cannot test for those. That is why Bonds is still an animal.

He had to clean his system out of all the tracable HGH's and find some new ones they don't know about yet.

Because he is a crybaby and washington did not offer him a good enough contract.
