I know some states have different levels that you can go on different types of vehicles (i.e, you can blackout a van but you can only go as low as 30% on a truck in Alabama)

Who cares about legal its all about the black on black with leather seats, in Michigan we can only have the top 3 inches tinted, screw that I have double limo over stock tint on '04 GMC Envoy along with a 12 inch visor on the windshield. So go big or go home, if you get a ticket, probably cheaper to take it off and just retint it in a few days.

DMV should be able to tell you about the tinted windows. I know that don't like them so dark you can't see the driver through the glass.
