I think that if we are to solve problems through negotiation, we should not ask such questions in the first place. Not allowing a diplomat, from whichever country, to visit another will add to animosity and even retaliation.
I'm an Iranian, but I set my nationality aside when I say, there are peaceful ways to end this crisis. Believe me when I say that NO Iranian wants to have a nuke. We are only seeking an alternative to oil. Our counrty's economy is founded on our oil and we fear the day we run out!
I am also sure that no American would like to see another war. No American would like to have a son, husband or friend sent abroad.
I think that by friendly negotiation, we can wipe away all the mistrust and hostility!
Cheers to that.

Question is when is he going to NYC? Hopefully not the same time I am!!!
As for the welcoming of him, we have sent delegates to his country several times and nothing has happened to them. Maybe this will be a small step into opening his eyes to see what his country can become if they opened their narrow minds and allowed more freedom over there.

He should be treated with respect. He is the leader of a nation whether he is a friend or not. And I think people should remember that today's enemy may be tomorrow's friend and vice versa.
If he is not shown respect, it will only reflect badly on the US.

I feel he should be given the respect and attention he deserves. Despite the outward dislike that some may feel against him; he is a leader.

I'd be thinking that EVERYONE would 'greet' him 'kindly' and he would wind up going back in a c-130 in a coffin with an american (not iran) flag draped over it.

With dignity and respect like the head of a sovereign nation - which he is.
Will America provide over 4,000 police officers to "protect" him like what Brazil provided for Bush on his recent trip there?
Doubt it!
