who's your favourite English cricketer? (The player does not have to be from the current world cup squad.)

I have always been a huge fan of Robin Smith. The way in which he tackled each and every innings was impressive. Fair enough he didnt always score to his expected potential, especially against spin! But he was/is methodical, brave, determined and always tried to deliver his best.

He has had his criticisms but took them all on the chin and percevered, often earning himself a recall to the england squad.

Hope this answered the question without dictating my opinion.

I also was a fan of Gooch, Atherton, Stewart from the batting side, and Gough from the bowlers.

I reckon my cricketing heroes came from the generation that i was brought up with. None of the current players would be classed as my heroes but I do have respect for their efforts and achievements over the past few years.

Michael Vaughan. as quickly as I watch activities there is isn't something extra i like to work out than gazing a participant on the suitable of his interest. whilst a participant is on the suitable of his interest, each and every thing seems to circulate, each and every thing seems to paintings, each and every thing seems to choose for him, and it extremely is the reason i admire Michael Vaughan. i replaced right into a late bloomer in terms of Cricket, soccer (soccer) replaced into my old flame or perhaps in spite of the shown fact that I watched Cricket often times, I nevertheless favored the extra action packed fooball. even in spite of the shown fact that issues began to alter in the Early 2000's it extremely is as quickly as I first began to relish the greatness of the interest of Cricket. some thing that helped me reliaze the greatness replaced into Michael Vaughan. the way Vaughan batted from 2001-2003 replaced into superb. each and every thing approximately his interest replaced into in-sync. His head place replaced into nevertheless and in step with the ball, his front foot replaced into rapid and into place in a flash and how he crashed the ball to the boundary taking part in a maximum suitable cover stress replaced into remarkable to observe. As a guy smitten by activities I do tend to relish the little factors that make some sportsmen great, or perhaps in spite of the shown fact that Sachin Tendulkar is in basic terms as captivating on the crease and little doubt a much extra effectual participant, Vaughan's greatness in the Early 2000's, in basic terms made me take a seat nevertheless and watch in amazement.
