i loved the series and the last episode stunk, i wish they would keep making them

yeah I don't think anyone liked the ending but have you seen the 6OVA and 3movies (i think)?

Well , as alot of anime go, they end without giving a proper ending and make you feel like watching more.
It was ended due to ratings, just like all other anime. Usually an anime is scheduled to have so many episodes and the last episode is made where ,they can rather continue it or end it, and if the ratings weren't enough to warrent another series, they just end it.
On another note, this is very common also because Rumiko Takahashi's work is known to be long and dragging and so long that her series go on for a long time without giving an ending (such as Inuyasha) and you have to finish up the ending by reading the manga.
As for something similar. Try Fruits Basket, its comedy with a little romance and has body switching (but in this case touching of the opposite sex changes the person into an animal)

i donnu i wish i could see em to i just saw till like haf season 3 cuz they stopped doing it on tv and wen i searched the net they didn't have the other half or season 3 till 7 i really wish i could see em i used to see ranma at the age of 4 or something like that and really wish i could see it agian from season 1 till 7
