Can I put a Betta and a Serpae Tetra together in an aquarium?

Yes, the betta will only attack fish that have flowing fins because they think they are other bettas. However serpae tetras are schooling fish, you must have at least 5 to keep them happy.
Also watch the serpae doesn't nip the fins on the betta

Listen to me...... It's not a good idea. Bettas do well with many fish but as one person mentioned Serpae Tetras are fin-nippers and most likely... but not necessarily kill the betta. It's not worth the risk.

That shouldn't be a problem at all. If anything though watch the serpae to be sure it doesn't get nippy at the betta. Every once in a while you get a nippy serpae.

I dont recomend it Serpae Tetra can be fin nippers,
You can put almost any NON fin nippers in with the beta.

i would n't my betta ate the rosy red fish i put in the tank with it...unless you have a 15 gallon tank no...........

no bettas can no be put with other fish they fight
