I loved Agassi watching him develop into the great person he became from a young wildman he was when he first came up in front of our eyes was awesome. I think I big part of that was getting away from Bolleteri and coming to terms with his turbulent relationship with his father. My personal favorite was Patrick Rafter. I loved his Serve and Volley style of play and his rivalry at the US Open with Sampras. He may be the last true serve and volley player we see in our lives( outside of doubles) . Federer is moving up on my list besides being the greatest player I have ever seen he is such a great guy that is hard not to find yourself rooting for the guy, I love Roddick also because he brings a little flair to the game and his post match press conferences are classic, and while I am at it I hold a warm place in my heart for Blake, overcoming that major injury from breaking his neck running into the net post and the death of his father in the same year and his class on the court shows me a lot. I hope he wins a major one day.

A REAL long time ago, when I was a little kid just learning tennis, it was Cliff Richey. I even had an old wood Cliff Richey autograph racket made by Wilson, in the Pro Staff line. Later I liked Ivan Lendl and Michael Stich, but also Petr Korda. (Who could not love Borg and McEnroe of course.) And among today's players my favorites are David Nalbandian, Rafael Nadal, Philipp Kohlschreiber, and Marcos Baghdatis.

Everyone loved Agassi. He was a true talent, modest, charitable, pleasent, charming, polite to everyone & a gentleman. That why he was loved all around the world & any time he plays, their is no seat empty.
Now, Federer is more like him.
As for women, i would say Steffi Graf.
