Do you like South Park? why? or why not?

I personally luv south park, but sometimes they go to far in religion and stuff.

I think South Park is one of the very best shows on television, and it has been for years. I still remember the first time I ever saw it. It was so funny and so different, I knew it would be a hit.

Some of their story lines are rather unappealing, like Eric and Butters' wiener, but for the most part, they're appropriately irreverent, and willing to make fun of anything.

I don't recall a show where I thought they went too far about religion. The Jesus camp for "confused bi-curious" boys was very funny. You can just "pray the gay away!" Or if that doesn't work, you could just kill yourself, as a couple of them did. Yes, there is an element of pity and morbidity to that story line, but you've got to take it in context. They making fun of that whole "religion can cure you" mentality.

Too far?

I don't think they go far enough.

The last episode with the Jesus Camp spoof was spot on. Here's a group of people who have dedicated themselves to attack, hate on and persecute another group of people who have done NOTHING to them.

And they call themselves christians. That's not being very christian-like. What would Jesus do?

I only watch "South Park" because my husband loves it and finds it hilarious... and I love my husband.

I agree with you - sometimes they go way too far, and that is why I do not like it.

I love that show for these reasons
1. they get away with so much
2. they definitely cross the line at times
3. they always cover current events
4. no subject is taboo

i love south park so muck i would die if it goes off air...it kinda worried me tho when cartman stuck butters weiner in his mouth....
