I'm assuming you mean the "Thomson ST 585" model router. If you haven't set your own password and user name the factory defaults are as follows:

User name: Administrator
Password:

Yes the password is just blank. If you need more info you can download the instruction manual in pfd form here http://www.thomsontelecompartner.com/getfile.php?id=3136

Hope this helps!

Basically whenever you want to know the router's ip address. however in most of the cases the username is admin and the password is blank. But once the router is configured the first step is to add a password. However if the reset switch on the router is pressed for 20 sec then factory settings can be obtained. However it is difficult to hack the password once forgotten.

Hi,
Most of routers names by default is admin. However in order to configure your router you must get into it by typing in http://192.168.1.254 if that doesn't work just type in the numbers. Also you can type in http://speedtouch.lan. Here you will get the opportunity to configure your router and to put in a user name and password along with important security features. Make sure you update your FIRMWARE for your product by going to the website; looking for your model number and proceed according to their directions. Have a nice day.
