3 things--
Walking--helps baby get engaged and his head puts pressure on your cervix to start dilation
Sex--semen contains prostoglandins which help "ripen" the cervix and orgasm may help start some contractions
Nipple Stimulation--release oxytocin which causes cervix to thin, dilate, and contractions to begin. 20minutes on 10 off for several hours until labor is in a good pattern. A breastpump would be very useful here.

I put caster oil in orange juice with both of my last children and it worked (I think). I was really sick, puking and pooping, but I think that all that got my contractions going. I hated being pregnant the last few weeks, so being sicker than a dog was worth it to get it over with. Other than that I'd agree with the walking and sex, although that never worked for me. I did have half a glass of wine with my first baby and went into labor that night, the doctor thought maybe it was enough to relax me. I only drank that once though, and use it as my "bad mom" story.

Just make sure you walk, I walked every morning around my block and evenings as well and it worked for me!! Most docs ask you to walk anyway and I doubt you want to be walking around the hospital with your gown So do it a few weeks before 2 months before is actually the best.

Supposedly sex - didn't work for me.
Walking
Spicy foods - don't try that one - all it will do is give you heartburn. I tried everything and still ended up delivering my daughter 6 days overdue. When the baby is ready, the baby will come.
Enjoy the last few days/weeks of being pregnant b/c believe it or not - you will miss it!

I have heard that making love will speed up labour. Nothing worked for me, though, I ended up being induced at 41 weeks.

I do not think much of anything will help. These things take time. I know you are most likely very ready to have your child.
I have heard that walking helps.
