I read an article online that made it seem like a B.A. degree was basically an easy way out and was almost worthless compared to a B.S.

Money is what employers pay to compensate for your knowledge, quality of work, and dedication. Since employers have little in the way of advance proof of a prospective employee's abilities, they tend to use background information to better determine what said abilities might entail for them, and they generally will base their salary on that.

A degree is a degree, but a BA is the lowest kind while a BS tends to at least show more dedication, and in so far as quality it could mean the difference between a person who just wants to get it done vs. another who wants it done right even if it takes longer.

Things may have changed since I went to college and got my bachelor's degree, but back in the 1990's....the Bachelor of Arts was always held in a higher regard because of the extra classes you had to take and the harder foreign language courses. Back then, the Bachelor of Science was the easier degree to get.
