I'd offer to help.. and try not to get pushed around myself in the process.. I really need a bodyguard, do you know of anyone who's looking for a job? ;O) *muahz*

I am a middle aged female and I doubt I would be much of a threat to anyone, but I would have to do something to help. Maybe just stand there and scream until some big bruiser came along to help her, maybe just call 911, maybe try to ask the guy nicely to leave her alone. In the end, though, if there were no other option, i would just have to jump in and take whatever beating the guy was doling out that day. I couldn't just walk away and let her be abused without doing something.

I'm female, but I wouldn't stand and watch anyone being pushed around. Regardless of the consequences, I'd try and reason, and if they turned on me,I'd have a go. Been in that position a few times

Well, it depends on the situation. Maybe she did something to offend someone else. But if they were just being mean for no reason then I'd try to stick up for her. If it was my mom and someone was pushing her around I'd want someone to step in and help too.

Is she being pushed around by a guy? If so then fight. You've gotta wonder if she smacked him first, but that doesn't really matter in the end.

I wouldn't fight.... but I wouldn't allow her to be pushed around. I would talk to the pushing doing the bullying. If that doesn't work, I would fight the guy and then call the cops pronto.

I was faced with this decision 2 years ago. I stood nearby as a wife and husband fought and screamed nearby their 3 children on a subway platform. The man attacked the woman and I moved to intervene and she strongarmed him and subdued him like the punk he was. I did not have to get involved since she could handle him (he didn't hit her, but he tried to grab her and she shoved him off like a fly) but I waited until the train came and resolved to jump him the INSTANT he touched one of those children.
Once the train came, he did not attempt to follow her and the kids, so I removed myself from the platform.
