This is my first time using birth control pills and i am on my first pack. my doctor recommended yaz for me to start with. i did the "take first pill within 24 hours of period" start instead of the sunday start. well, i am down to my last pink pill, which means tomorrow i start the inactive white ones, which i believe are for when my period starts. is that right? what if my period doesnt start tomorrow, do i just take the inactive pills anyway, or do i start a new pack? i am new to all this, so i am clueless and dont want to do the wrong thing. any help is appreciated.

Your period would normally start during the inactive pills. You would still continue your pack of pills. However, it usually takes 2-3 months for your body to become regulated to the hormones of the pill, so you may experience breakthrough and irregular bleeding. If within the 3rd month your cycles do not become irregular, you will need to go back to your doctor as it's possible a hormonal imbalance has occurred or you need a different dosage.

I'm on yaz too! Yes, the last pink pill means that tomorrow you should start your period. However, I've found that with Yaz, sometimes my period doesn't start for a few days after I've stopped on the pink pill. Go ahead and take all of the white ones, and just stay on the pill cycle. After a few months your body will accept the cycle as natural.

Just keep taking the pills daily. For some people, it takes a few days into the white pills to start their period (which is fine). Do not start a new pack without finishing the white pills, it will mess with your cycle.

ANY birth control is very dangerous. It effects your hormone balances and estrogen production, and can cause a LOT of problems like birth control, etc. I would advise natural methods of birth control, i.e. protection and a firtility calendar. That is the SAFEST method (I was studying to be a nurse and found out a lot of things)... if you want to have a child eventually, Yaz especially increases your risk of miscarriages.

just continue taking them in order, you may not even start your period at all. I took them for a few months and I had really strange bleeding. I also gained weight with them, so be careful what you eat.
