Whenever I get upset with someone he trys to take care of it. I was mad at my ex and he was like you should date someone who really cares about you and respects you. he calls me beautiful and stuff. Chris is my friend but hes way to overlytouching and over protective. How do I get him to stop?

AWW! thats so cute its obvious he really cares about you. tell him nicely that you just need to him to calm down a little bit with the over-protectiveness becuase you can take care of yourself, but that you know that he will always be there for you when you do need help.

Agree with Jamaican, I think he really likes you. And he wants to protect you. But he almost sounds too controlling or oppressive. I think you will have to confront him about his behavior and tell him that he is only a friend and that he is out of line in the way he is acting with you.

You should be happy that he's overprotective. It means he likes you and doesn't want you to get hurt. Most guys would just ignore girls and let them get hurt. If it really bothers you than just ask him very nicely if he will give you a little independence. But make sure you tell him that if you need his help he can come to your rescue.

you have to be completely honest with him. tell him that he is a good friend but that's all you want from him....a friendship. let him know that you can take care of yourself too.
