Why is white considered beautiful?

And you know it's true (just look at the media - we are slowly changing, though). Why is this the case?

As in "white", I am talking about caucasion people, not the color.

I am white and I personally don't think that white is any more beautiful than any other race. Examples - Beyonce, Halle Berry, Lucy Liu, etc....

I think that all races have beauty and not so beautiful. I think the media, (tv ads, print ads) generally focus on whites in their ads because that is the majority of the population.

So to answer your question - sure, white is considered beautiful - along with other races/ethnicities.

White projects purity, cleanliness, and neutrality. Doctors don white coats, brides traditionally were white gowns and a white picket fence surrounds a safe and happy home.

How the color white effects us mentally and physically

Light shaded skin is beautiful to those who like light shaded skin. Other shades are attractive or beautiful to those who prefer those shades. " de gustibus non est desputatum "
You can't argue about taste. If someone likes a person with lilly white skin, you can't convince him that he shouldn't.
Personally, I like brown skin, but I don't care for ******* features like the big lips, wide nose, frizzy hair, etc. but that's just personal preference.
Why are more white skin girls featured on magazine covers ? Because of the number of Caucasian readers.
On Ebony covers they're all dark. Same reason.

I think the media projects popularity but we are all attracted to whats Dark, including ignorant and Destroy it !!!
