The idea of a full tank helps to keep it from rusting inside the tank.
A year is not that long to sit,you may lose a battery if it's left connected. Possibley some sidewall cracking if the tire pressure is not kept up.
Otherwise it would be fine, don't sweat it.

It should be fine. I work on an Army base in Germany at the Auto Skills Center. We see this on a daily basis with all the deployments.
You battery will most likely be dead from all the clock and radio memory. When dead and those items still try to pull power it kills the battery. So if the storage facility is not charging it, just get prepared to buy a new one.
Gas should be fine for starting, just top it off with super premium and that will also be fine.
When you go to get the truck, check you tire pressures. Start and let idle for a few minutes, then put in gear and with foot on brakes let it idle in gear just a minute. Pull away easy incase the brake pads rusted to the rotors/drums. If stuck just rock the truck easily and they should break loose. Don't try to drive it like a NASCAR truck until all the rust has come off the rotors from easy driving.
Change motor oil at first chance (get yourself settled back in first)
Next time:
Put a can of Sta-bil fuel stabilizer into the tank before driving to storage yard
Disconnect the negative battery cable to keep the car from killing the battery
Keep your head down and your spirits high and get home safely!

When I was in the Navy, MWR had long term storage for vehicles of deployed individuals for reasonable prices, I stored my Mustang, but only for six and a half months. I had prepared it by adding gas and Sta-Bil to the tank. They also had a small fee (very reasonable) for disconnecting the battery if I so chose, which I did. When I got back, I took it to the auto hobby shop on base and did an oil and filter change, then filled the tank all the way with premium to help even out any lost octane. My car runs fine, even now. No problems.
Good luck, and stay safe!

Most of these answers are Ok, but yes, alot does start to give after so long of just sitting. But with it being a year, it wont get too bad. If the company is specificly for storing vehicles, how mauch are you paying them? If they are worth paying to have your vehicle stored there, they should start it every 2 weeks for about 15 mins.
I hope your truck is not a diesel, because if it is, and they dont start it, you'll run into the problem with the diesel gelling up and cloging up your fuel system. But, you should be ok, may need new tires, vulcanization may take place in them. Anything rubber may deteriorate or "dry rot". If possible, have somoene come by atleast once a month and start it. Hope This helps, Good Luck.

If you put a gas stabilizer in and ran it a little before storage it should be ok... otherwise I would drain the gas tank when you come back... the oil should be ok but I'd crank the engine without the coil wire to get oil up in the engine again.....battery may have to be charged.... you may want to change the antifreeze and depending on where it is stored the tires may develop "dry rot".

If possible I would find a friend who can drive it everyonce in a while but if it must sit it isnt necessary but might be wise to drain the tank before driving it as gas tend to "gum up the longer it sits. If this happens again and you have to let it sit I would buy some fuel stabilizer to put in the tank which will keep the fuel stable while you are away.

I think I get from your message that the truck has already been stored. My only concern is that you did not put some gas stabilizer into the tank. The battery will probably be flat when you gat back but otherwise it should be okay.

First, thank you for your service to the country.
Your truck should be fine, fuel won't deteriorate in a year. About the only problem you might see would be a dead battery after that much time unless the storage company puts a charger on it occasionally.
