i have been friends with this girl for about 2 years (we are both seniors in high school) and she has been in sports for a while. In the last couple months her life has gotta kinda weird with working at a bar n the fights between her and her mom. today she found out at lunch that she did not make the varsity soccar team, which she had been on for the last 2 years n she was devistated. she started crying and came n sat by me but i had no idea wut to say.
i really like her, but i dont know wut to day nemore

sometimes just listening is enough...but let her know you are really sorry for what has happened, and make sure she knows you'll be there for her whatever happens.

Just be there to support her,say whats on your mind and in your heart,your not going to look like an idiot for doing so,and she will appreciate it,and sometime's,just being there to listen makes a world of difference. Girls like a guy that can open up. Try cheering her up,maybe take her out to dinner tonight or bowling,something that she likes and will take her mind off things,and she can have some laughs. You don't want to take advantage of her misfortune but if you show her that your are there for. To listen and be a sympathetic ear for her. She will see what a great guy you are, then you can tell her how you feel. Good luck

Just encourage her..
Invite her to hang out or do something...like an arcade.
Take her where she can get her mind off the problems she's having.

Just tell her you dont know what to say to make her feel better but if she ever just needs to vent and talk you will listen any time. I know I would love if someone would say that to me sometimes lol.
