I want to move to a place in the U.S that's near a beach but having a real hard time finding any thing. I'm looking for a place that's near a beach, not going to cost you left arm, not to much crime and has a good social style atmospere. I prefer warm weather and would really like to live in a place were you get off of work and surf at the beach or what not.
Are there even places like what I'm saying? Of course there's California which has that but it pretty expensive, and then there's Florida, but it's right there in a hurricane's shot, and then there's Hawaii but I might as well be Bill Gates. Atleast these are all answers I've got before.
If any one has any ideas; come on down!

Texas! The beaches here are beautiful vast expanses of endless white sand (out on the islands) . The water is warm . The days are balmy (hot/humid) . I originally came from CA, when I saw all the open beach out here I was in total shock. It's absolutely gorgeous. Plus the Cost of living in Texas seems to be cheaper than anywhere else. Gas prices in Corpus Christi alone are cheaper than the rest of the state , and TX is cheaper than the other states. Texans are also notoriously friendly. We do get hurricanes once in a while, but truly Texas is paradise on earth.

How about Hampstead, NC? It is not too far from Wilmington and if you buy about a mile from the ocean the hurricanes will not wash your home away, but it is a short trip to the beach. The accesses to the beachs are public so you can get down on to the sand.
Hope you enjoy where ever you go.

sounds like you want to live the life of a life time. Beach's are easy to find but living on one... now that's always gonna be expensive. look on the Internet and search beach house+for sale. type in exactly that even with the + in it. that should get you what your looking for. its hard to find a place on the beach. i should know sense i live on the beach and it was a pain to find a good house on the beach. if this gos through for you please what ever you do live on the beach its perfect.

hope this answers your question
