Make sure you get a recommendation from someone. Don't go to a random place out of the phone book. Ask your mom/aunts/friends where they go. That way you know first hand what to expect. If you've tweezed your eyebrows before, waxing will not hurt. If you haven't tweezed, then it will be a little painful. If they do it correctly, it won't be too bad at all.

I get my brows waxed about every 4-6 weeks. And it doenst hurt at all for me. Once you have started to get it done the pain is less and less each time. Plus your brows stay good looking longer than when you dont have them waxed. I mean everyone is different and some will say oh girl it hurts and other say it doesnt. But to be honest with you, you have to just and try it for yourself. No one can tell you how it feels but you. So if you have thought about it then go and get it done. If you think it will hurt to badly then just dont worry about it until you are ready. But if you want you can always put come ice on them before you get them done it helps with the pain.

Definitely wax! but I agree with some of the girls start up with just a clean up keep you natural shape. If you have seen some body's shape that you like ask them to recommend you a place, last thing you want to do is to randomly select a place not all of them do a good job. Eyebrows are one of the most important facial features trust me on this one. You'll do fine just take a deep breath and you wont regret it. Hey who says beauty is easy!!!

DON'T. I used to get mine waxed but it made all these little blonde hairs come up so if I was doing it myself at home it didn't look 'polished'. Try THREADING. It's what I use and it faster, less painful, less messy and it gives you a better shape. Plus the beautician is more in control of it so it can't go as horribly wrong as wax could. Plus wax can spread stuff =S I don't know if it's true for your face, but I've heard stuff.. so yeah.. THREADING is the way to go!

Check it out, I think it's way better =)

WAX WAX WAX.....trust me it doesnt hurt 2 bad. its like a LITTLE pinch the 1st time u do it, but then u get used to it. i get mine done about every three or so. it doesnt hurt that bad. the 1st time i had mine done, it did KINDA hurt, but it wasnt bad AT ALL! and when they put that wax on ur eyebrow, it feels good cause its warm, then they'll put a cloth on it, rub a little, and then rip it off. i know it sounds painful cause i said "rip", BUT its SO fast u dont even feel very much. Good Luck sweetie!!! ;) U CAN DO IT!

Yes, it is painful but not for long. I used to pay someone to do my eyebrows but now I use at home wax strips and I pluck. The more you do it, the less you notice the pain.

I don't know where you live but many towns have salons that either exclusively do eyebrows or specialize in it...never have anyone but a professional do it and tell them not to make them thin...start off with just cleaning them up and a slight shaping ..if you kill the follicles they will not regrow and then you will be painted on eyebrows.........but if you go to a professional ...they re trained ..check to see if there is an eyebrow only shop in your area..

i pluck! its cheaper and all you have to do is follow the shape at the top of your eyebrows. should do it once you come out of the shower/bath so that your pores are open!
but waxing is OK just make sure they look like they no what they are doing!!
good luck

I pluck, but...I have a lot of friends who do "threading". I guess it work really well and is a good alternative to waxing. Maybe you should look into it? :)
