This scam was on the news recently. They send emails out about penny stocks in an attempt to raise the price and then they sell out leaving the unaware, who fell for it, with nothing. I have been getting these recently in abundance. I would like to get rid of them. Only other choice is to give yahoo 100% discretion on elliminating junl mail and risk losing a few that I did want to receive.

it's dxb-as116.alshamil.net.ae they are from Dubai, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

i found that with Reverse DNS lookup and IP Information at this site: http://www.dnsstuff.com/ (scroll down past the ad and there are free tools)

next, i put http://www.alshamil.net.ae ( the last few parts of the address) into my browser and found the internet service provider. You can probably contact them to make a complaint of email abuse:

they are listed in a few spam databases here:

if you want to trace someone that's difficult but you can soon find out what country they're in and who owns the network to find out go here and type the IP address in then follow the instructions it'll at least give you some information http://cqcounter.com/whois/

This site will get you to the main area the IP address is located in. That is about all you will ever get without legal assistance and Court Warrants.

if you have full headers displayed on the email, you can copy/paste the whole thing over to here.. http://www.spamcop.com/ and they will say where it came from - the provider and who to report it to as spam.. for the exact person that it's coming from though.. that's different
