the tank and main filler hose is sucking closed I get a p0446 code

The vent solenoid is on the left side of the vehicle kind of behind the tank and next to the inside of the frame rail. You are right to check out the solenoid, as it should be open all the time except when the system runs a evap test ( A few minutes per key cycle)
The solenoid is non adjustable and is simply a valve that closes when energized. The hose is about 3/4 " diameter that connect to the valve. The other end of the hose connects to the vapor canister.

the evaporation solonoid is locatiod 7/8 below the highest point of the tank. what is probably happening is that the solonoid was disrupted or knocked loose and its tripping the sensor even thought the tank may be full. there is no immediate danger but you want to have it fixed because soon the po446 code will turn into a p4326 which is the code when the entire solonoid has to be replaced. thats a bltch because of all the work to fix it. so take it in and have them reajust the solonoid a little lower or tighten it if it was knocked loose
