Have you ever gotten the feeling that alot of the people asking questions here are actually kids looking for an easy way to do their homework? hmmmmmmmm....

I applaud answerers 'brave' enough to call them on it. Seriously, why should anyone feel that they are above doing anything for themselves and have others spoon feed them everything??? How sad that they would be old enough to be in school (probably middle or high school) but too incompetent to be able to write or read or think or do anything for themselves. What kind of world should we expect when they start working??? If I were them I'd be embarrassed that I couldn't do my own work.

I'm a college student; I gave a hs freshman or sophomore a brief but in-depth explanation of some symbolism in the Scarlet Letter. The answer that was voted best was: "Hope. Trust me."

If I'm going to give you a thesis statement for your two-page essay, at least throw me some points, or acknowledgment, or thanks... or something.

Hmm. Cash would be good too.

How about this recent one:

"Why was harry potter a chalenged book can you write the answer in a essay form?"

Yes, and some of them are totally shameless about it. I don't mind helping out with multiple choice homework questions once and awhile. However, when they post essay questions, and I'm asked to supply them with 3 well written paragraphs, that's abuse of this forum, I think.

I think it's okay if they're just brainstorming ideas to get their creative juices going, but some just want the easy way out. I answer those with "do your own homework."

Yes, and some of them are quite blunt about it by SAYING they need help with their homework, of course, I think some of them say that they are doing homework so that they won't be ridiculed by asking a certain question.

You know, I'm starting to get that feeling too.
Homework help is one thing but when they ask for "atleast 500 word explanation on why was Harry Potter is a chalenged book", I think they're just tring to get some other sucker to do their homework for them.

'Course. There're some even more blatant ones, where they give a poem and a multiple-choice question(s) and ask for the answer. Yeah, it's sad, but I guess it's all part of out-sourcing, hey?

No, I've never gotten that suspicion. But now that you mention it; writing a thesis paper for that kid 'was' a little much. =/

no - most people ask a question, then give you multiple choice answers to choose from. i usually give them the wrong answer so they look dumb.
