Sword & board will give you a higher AC than a 2H. While a 2H will give you more damage, they are much slower. Also, look into axes. They have a higher dps rating than most 1H swords out there. Since you are a warrior, you can use any weapon in the game except wands. The rule of thumb is sword & board for soloing and secondary assist and 2H for main assist. You generate more aggro with the 2H, that's why you would use it for main tank.

The real question is what do you feel comfortable doing? Are you effective when you solo your way? If not, change it. If so, leave it alone.

A 2-handed sword will probably deal more damage, but you will lose your shield. If you don't need the shield, then a 2-handed sword will work for you very nicely.

Personally, I'd just use both since you have situations where each one makes sense. Why choose between the two? It's pretty easy to pick up 5 points of skill for each weapon type for every level, so just use both and swap between the two when you level up so you can keep your skill up then you can use which ever weapon you want as the situation calls for it.

Get the Battle Carp.

Any enemies you hit will be slimy as a result, and the "Stench Aura" gives stun damage to any opponents close enough to strike.
