My boyfriend loves elephant nose fish and wants a listening device to hear them talk. What would he need to buy?

It's called a piezoelectric device (usually in the form of an earphone) and you can buy one at a typical radio store.

Hi,elephant nose fish are beautifull.I had one sadly he died he was really friendly not at all shy like they say they are.Hope you can find a device.Good Luck

Ohhhhhh... That's a toughy. I haven't heard of any equipment that would allow you to properly listen to them and their vocalizing but... The best I can suggest is a stethescope and placing it in the water.
