Are you thinking of Electric Light Orchestra's Evil Woman? It's from the 70's and sounds like Illegal Woman in a way.

You may be thinking of the song "Evil Woman". It was released by Black Sabbath in 1970.
Evil Woman was also a song by Electric Light Orchestra, but I can't remember the exact year. It was in the 70s also though.

Maybe "Evil Woman" by ELO (Electric Light Orchestra)??? It might sound like "illegal" if you didn't know the words...."E-e-vil woman!" It was around in the late 70s, early 80s.
