Just the truth has hit the nail on the head, IF he was being tortured he would have admitted it within weeks of being imprisoned but he has been incarcerated for 4 years and still sound in mind and body, is he some freak of nature.
Stoning to death, cutting off the hand you eat with for minor crimes is barbaric as is trying to cause death and carnage to innocent people.
He has probably saw the error of his way's, turned Catholic
and made a public confession.

Perhaps he actually is guilty. And it vindicates what Indonesian Intelligence has been saying all along- that they were not behind the planning of the Bali nor Jakarta bombings- it was entirely Pakistanis and Malaysians funded by Saudi money.
Islamic extremism in Asia is fuelled by Pakistanis laundering Saudi money- indigenous forms of South East Asian Islam are moulded to suit the user.
Islamic extremism is thus entirely a Saudi funded and Pakistani proagated phenomenon in SE Asia.
Their own Intelligence Agencies have already reached that conclusion- how long does it take for the West to catch up?

Your question lets us know that you are racist and bigoted as you make two specific generalisations about all Americans and the Jewish faith.
In truth I suspect if I was tortured it wouldn't take me 4 years to confess to whatever they wanted to charge me with.
How do we get out of the cycle of mutual distrust and hatred?
Wish I knew, it has been around for as long as we have any recorded history.
You could make a start by deciding that you are going to try not to hate 'people' simply because they seem to belong to a particular group and I will do the same, that way there will be two less people promoting trouble and two more working for tolerance deal?

If he had, in fact, been tortured BARBARICALLY, as you seem to know and have proof, he would have confessed many months ago, or be dead at the most and show signs of all this barbaric torture at the least . I wonder if you are one of those conspiracy jobs that this confession TOTALLY REFUTES.

If in truth he is telling the "truth" then any barbarity implied would not be severe enough for me, I would revert to the roman way of crucifixion! (and I am a pacifist)

in step with hazard Mr. Mohammad can communicate English. in step with hazard it fairly is a translation meaning the comparable project. So while you at the instant are not falling for this crap what crap are you falling for? you are able to not have it the two strategies. you are able to not say that they attacked us and then deny that the mastermind who deliberate it fairly is mendacity approximately it. If Mohammad did not who did? Bush and Cheney?
