I received jury service letter to ask me for juror in Oct6. then I postponed it.

Now, I received the 2nd letter from them, and ask for me to be juror in April.

However, I am now working abroad, there is not way to come back. Also the Jury Summons ticket show " MUST SERVE" this time. what can I do ? pls help ~~~ thx a lot ~~~

send them a thank you letter and do not forget to mention that you are the perfect jury cause you can spot guilty people like from a mile away.

Inform the court that you are not currently in the county, and would be happy to serve once you return to the jurisdiction.

The "must serve" means they won't accept another voluntary waiver. But if you're not within the jurisdiction, and didn't leave the country just to avoid jury duty, there's little the clerk can do.

You need to contact them (there should be a phone number to call, or you can find it online) and provide proof of the fact that you are working abroad (probably via email or fax). They cannot make you serve if you are not on the continent. But contact them as soon as you can to avoid any problems.

You need to inform them immediately! I agree with the other answerer that you should offer to serve at a later date. But if you just don't show up, you're breaking the law!
