its been said that the world is going to end in the year 2012! (something to do with the 'Mayan Calendar' so why are they still going ahead spending billions on the olympics and other things???

yep the mayans had a secret and their calendar only goes to 2012. so if the world is going to end then i want to go ahead and spend my money now.

I'm not believing anything on any sort of calendar, because it could or could not be true. Nothing's for certain. The world may end tomorrow, but we don't know. Humans seem to be very superstitous creatures. The world will keep on keeping on until things are for certain, if they ever are.

I don't know, but I hope not! I'll only be 29! I have been making contributions into my Retirement Account and have been trying to take care of my health based on the assumption that I will live to be an old man! If I'm going to die at 29, I want to live wrecklessly!

People have predicted the end of the world on so many occassions, and guess what? We're still here!!
Yes I think the world will end one day, and probably not of natural causes. Unfortunaelty I think we will end up destroying ourselves - and not by global warming either.

People always predict but it never happens. I think it will end as we know it but I can't predict an act of God! He will jump in when he is ready!
