Sorry, but every child who has lived where there was snow has shoveled the snow at their house for free (some of us for many years). It doesn't do any good to complain. Just enjoy the crisp, cool air, think of what good the exercise is doing for your body, and get over it! Just think, as soon as you grow older, you can have kids of your own and have THEM shovel for you!

Why do kids believe that they should get paid for anything that they do.
If you live in the house, have food on the table, clothes on your body, a bed etc.......shoveling is nothing more thanking your parents for everything they have given you. They have forked out enough money on you, why shouldn't they receive some appreciation in return. Be thankful and show some gratitude and stop looking for handouts. Stop being selfish and be more constructive and helpful, it will do wonders for you in the end.

You shouldn't have to get paid for it. You don't pay your parents to cook, clean, do launtry for you, now do you?
The least you could do is shovel the snow.

You get paid every time you set down to a meal, your mom washes your cloths, takes you to a movie or out to eat. Definitely at Christmas and birthdays and sometimes just because you wanted it.....Love your parents as much as they love you.....Do it for nothing....

Um, yeah. You live in your parents house without paying for food or rent, it's your responsibility to help them take care of the house.
