There IS such a thing as an evaporation line. Make sure you can tell the difference.

The same thing happened to me. I took the first test a day before my expected period, and it showed a very faint line too. I wasn't sure if that is positive or not, cause I have also heard about those evaporation lines that can appear and show a false result (though this happens not too often). So looked up more information about the pregnancy hormone HcG (which lets a test appear positive) and found out that especially in early pregnancy its amount doubles about every 2-3 days. So, I waited 2 days and did right the next test - and there, my test was so positive this time!
So, let me say Congratulations on the pregnancy!!! ;)
To be sure just take another test 2-3 days after the first one. And it's also true what others here already said, that the spotting may be the implanation bleeding.

Any line at all is a positive. I took the test with the lines on it and had it come back so light I thought my eyes was playing tricks on me. My husband insisted I take a digital read out and so I did, and sure enough that very very faint line I had seen on the other test was indeed there. I am 9 weeks and 6 days pregnant with baby #2... If you are still unsure about your results buy a digital test and it will answer one way or the other no guessing is involved..

The hormones needed for the test to show positive are usually there at 5 weeks after the first day of your last period. Since this is only 4 weeks, that is why it only shows up light. In another week it should be strong. You should see your Dr. as soon as you can to make sure.

Yes Im 38 weeks pregnant today. I took 2 pregnancy test they came out negative then i got my period for one day and it was very light blood when i took my third one it came out positive so Yes i suggest u take another one GOOd LUCK

Yes you are very likely to be pregnant. Pregnancy tests cant make a line show up unless the hormone is there. Doesn't matter if it is faint.

You're pregnant...any line, faint or not, means pregnant. Spotting could be implantation of the egg in your uterus. Wait 3 more days and take another test, I guarantee that line will be darker!

I took one a while back, it was cheap(equate) and it done the same and i wasnt preg. after all. Then again I had an exspensive one and I didnt pee enough on it and it was faded also! So just go to the Doc!... Hope I helped!

YES! This happend to me too. Just found out I was pregnant on Wed. Same thing happened to me.
Take another test.

I would take one of those digital tests that say "pregnant" or "not pregnant" to be sure.. but yes normally if there is any line at all you are pregnant.
