Ok…my sis got her period when she was about to turn 8. Ever since, she’s been getting these weird affects every month. Sometimes she even gets it 2X a month. Last couple of months; she said she felt like everything inside her wasn’t function. She couldn’t move and that it feels like everything is coming out in gushy chunks. What could it be? Could it be that she doesn’t drink milk? She doesn’t drink milk like I do everyday. I tell her to but she just gets mad because she doesn’t like someone telling her what to do. I know each girl passes through periods differently, for ex, 2 yrs ago when I was in eight grade (WORST year of my periods) I got REALLY bad cramps and would keep throwing up. Luckily my mouth gets really salty telling me to go. Is this, compared to my sis, normal? I’m worried.

I totally understand what you mean when your period cramps get so severe you have to throw up. It still happens to me, nearly every month, so I envy you.

Your sister is a unique case whereby a girl gets her period at 8. I think it must be really harder for her to deal with this since she's so young. It has something to do with hormones.
[But personally, I CANT imagine how I could ever live if it comes twice a month for me, I'd just die.]
But like every girl, her period will settle down and occur more regularly, though I think this could take a long time.

I don't really get the last part of your question, but if you;re asking if throwing up because of bad menstrual cramps is normal, it's not. People who are physically weaker or dont take enough iron in their diet suffer from this. To make sure your sis doesnt get cramps like you, tell her to eat more veggies. Milk helps too, but its not the sole cause.

its not cuz she doesn't drink milk, milks acculy not all that good for you. i almost never drink milk. 8 is quite young, i got mine at 14 and had such bad cramps and still do unless i take cramp pills and im 16 now. its normal to have irregular periods for the first year or so. it doesn't seem normal to be throwing up or having irregualr periods after 2 years. the both of u should get checked out for sure.

Don't worry, your sister is completely normal. While on her period, she should have lots of fibre in her diet and should eat lots of fruit & veg. The occasional chocolate won't do any harm, Either - it actually helps ease thecramps and can make you feel alot happier & giddy - a good thing when you're on your period!

-- You didn't mention how old your sister is. If she still has these irregular periods by the time she's turned 14-16, she should see a doctor - her Body could need help adjusting.

Your sister needs to be taken to the Gyn. Not only are her symptoms unusual for her age, but it is not normal to begin periods at 8.

Something is wrong and she needs to be checked.

Going to an Endocrinologist would be a good idea too. She could have a hormonal disorder and an Endocrinologist can better treat her with this than a Gyn.

Well maybe your mom should take your sis to the doctors. Maybe something is going on that needs to be checked out. I haven't heard of anyone starting their period so young...but I guess it happens. My advice is to call the doctors office and talk to the advice nurse...describe whats going on and go from there.

As for you...my periods were very bad like that. I had to stay in bed for days. I could hardly stand up. I talked to the doctor and they put me on birth control and that helped out tons. Talk to your Mom and see what she suggests. Good luck to you both.
